On Fire
Put simply: this is going to be the Android tablet that people buy. But most people will have no idea that it’s an Android tablet.
This is the most important point made about the Kindle Fire. People will buy it because they know and love the Kindle and Amazon itself. They won’t be buying it because it’s an “Android tablet”. Some will, but most won’t. This is the mass-market Android tablet.
That price is insane, too. It’s cool to finally see an iPad competitor on the market. The Fire doesn’t have all the features that the iPad has, but it addresses a lot of wants many non-iPad owners had about a tablet. Good move, Amazon.
